You shouldn't have a problem at all. Paintball kid took his on without a case.

I am getting ready to fly with mine too. What do you do with the batteries? The heli will be in its case taken as carry on.

depends on the size of the lipo

you have to calculate the energy in the battery but i think the bigest i calculated was like a 6 cell 4100 if its that big or bigger then you can only have 2 1 for the device and one extra i took many 2100 3 cell batterys and 1300 3cell batterys to make it extra nice i put a pece of tape over the conector the balance tap put a rubber band around it to hold the lead and tap down on the battery and individualy put them in plastic bags then put them in a plastic contaner in my (carry on) but like i said i think if you are going to take some 6cell 4100's you should do the math when i went before i put my planes in checked baggage but now i just want to carry on a litle shogun

Thanks for the link. I am taking my TREX 450 with me and would like to take 4-5 batteries (EVO 25's, 2170mah, 3S). The biggest problem I will have is that I am flying out of Okinawa, Japan. I dont know how the Okinawan's will react to the batts being in my carryon....Guess I will find out soon.

EDIT: Due to some circumstances coming up I will now be taking only the 3 batteries I still own. Guess that makes it easier to carry them....

you should be fine

i would just do like i did and have every thing taped and in there own bags and in a clear plastic case and in your carry on might not hurt to have a couple of issues of rc Heli right next to the contaner on my first flight i also had a print out of the web page i gave you a link to just in case i needed to argue the amount of ELC they just opened the case and looked in it and they didint seem to care but this was in the states glad i could help out someone in the service

I am hoping it will be that easy. The only major concern is the language barrier. When I do finaly get out of here I will let you know how hard it is.

Thanks for the info and ideas.

Glad I can serve this country. Probably the best decision I ever made....next to helis of course...LOL
