What is the better choice ?

2221-6 or 2221-8 I like high head speed and have the 3700 align motor right now on 3S 13T pinion and it is good but could use a tad more poop.

You need the HK-2221-6 V2 with 10T pinion.

Really IMO I don't see much of a difference between the two motor -8 on 13 tooth and -6 on 11 tooth, other then flying time and a little more HS. Both will have more then enough power to do every trick in the book. The -6 has a little more HS, less torque and flight time is lower.

IMO you will be happy with either one. Just decide with your flying style do you prefer more HS or more torque.

Hope that helps

I thought the -8 had a better shot at working with stock ESC (35X) and your existing real-world batteries.

not so?

I would personally go with the 8 if using stock esc/bec. Or go with the 6 and the scorpion 60ESC combo for only $109 at readyheli.

stay away from 10t 3.17mm dia. pinions. The walls of these pinions are simply too thin to within the stress of our helis.
