I'm rebuilding my Trex-600 with the NEU motor and CC HV85 ESC running on 6s. Now BEC wise, is the stock 3-amp Align BEC okay or I need something better? Is the Western Robotics Hercules BEC okay? I bought that a while back to eliminate the RX pack, but can I use it with the RX battery assuming that it's a better BEC since it's 5 amp continuous?

WR is a great BEC you can use it either way. Can't use it on a 72mhz radio system.

Hey Heli 770,

I'm on 2.4ghz so I guess I'm okay. I notice that there is no on/off switch on the WR BEC like one on the Align BEC. Do people build a switch for it or just plug/unplug?

Lot safer to use plugs. The Bec is 5amps continuous, they tested it a 5amps for 40hrs.

I might go the neu also,which motor did you go with & will the bec work that were using,didnt understand Heli770s answer.

What I meant was the BEC will work with the main batt or Rx batt.
