hey guys I just did my first side flip and I'm pumped! I can't believe I did it. I was so nervous but said wth, banged the stick over and over she went, damn! Did a huge more of a side roll/loop than flip but no matter I did it and had to share it with you guys.

Thanks for reading

Side flip? LOL, never heard it called that before. Wouldn't that just be a stationary roll?

Flips are done using the pitch axis
Rolls are done using the Roll axis and
Piro's are done using the Yaw axis.

But it's all just semantics right?

Excellent job! First anythings with these are a blast!

Good luck,

Skarn,

I don't know why I'm calling it a side flip, you're right, it's a stationary roll. I was so damned excited I guess I wasn't thinking straight, but I did my roll, YES!

Thanks for for the comments guys. "Brings a tear to the eye..." LOL that's good one.

Still working on my orientations.

Tail in - locked
RHS in - locked
LHS in - not bad
Nose in - can do it but it really shakes me up, I don't know why. I haven't dumb-thumbed it the wrong way and it's pretty easy, but why the hell am I so nervous?! I guess I need more time.
FF - pretty good
Distance - confident

Once I polish up the nose in I'm not sure what's next...Auto's from more than 4'?

Inverted orientation? OMG, I can't even imagine doing this but I almost have no business doing 3D until I master this as well.

Don't forget the ability to roll in both directions, as well as Backwards Flight.

You should easily be able to carry the same skills over to front/back flips.

From there, 4-point tick tocks. Flying heli's is a lot like mathematics: You need to be able to add/subtract/multiply and divide before tackling differential equations.

Once you're able to do all of the above, then yes, from an inverted hover would be a great accomplishment.

upgrading to a lighter 6S pack

and a 13T? with stock pinion.

I've got a 5S 489g pack at the momment. Hopefully a 6S w/439g pack will be easier to toss around.

Maybe I didn't add negative soon enough but the heli (or me) seemed to take forever to complete the move.
