Oh, no, no paid advertisement here. Just a guy that liked what he saw, bought one, and liked just as well after actually building and flying it.

It's quite amazing to me just how far these things have come throught the years. I started with the GMP Cricket back in 1989. I moved on to the Kalt Baron 20. I had two of those. Then I got a Schlueter Mini Boy. Then a GMP Competitor. Then a Kalt Enforcer. I still have my JR Venture, and still fly it. I also have a Blade CP and a Blade 400 3D. Now I have the Pantera. The Pantera definately blows all of the choppers I've had away, exception of the Enforcer. Pretty decent chopper for fiber injected, but did have a cheesy collective mechanism. The little B400 3D is pretty impressive too for the cash. That'll get you guys going too....

I'll get more bling eventually, but I can add some bling to this one over time with upgrades. It's all good.

You big brute!! I'm going to tell mom...

That's a pretty head. I can only hope for aluminum upgrades.

Too bad you guys are all so far away from me. Would be fun to get together. We're putting together a heli club here. It's going to be call Central Illinois Rotary Fliers or CIRF for short. Seems to be quite a number of flyers in the area... 2 or 3 at every field. We are going to try to get them all together for tip trading, setup, flying, etc.

Felt I should chime in here and say the Pantera is a very good heli for the money. At a UK show last week they were on sale, new, at £99. I'd have bought one if I didn't have one already.

Replacement Parts

Are your sure the replacement parts are cheap? It appears that some of the replacement parts are in line with others while many cost more. I do not understand why the heli kit is a bargin to buy but the replacemnet parts are not. I have a Pantera and I think it is a wonderful heli that is well designed and flies great but I do question the price of replacement parts. I guess it is hard for JB to compete with the Wal-Mart style of marketing like a T-Rex which is a lot cheaper to repair.

I guess it is hard to gauge without setting down with everything side by side. I believe the general concensus is that they are very reasonable. But, then, we are not in the Audacity forum here, so not sure how many Pantera guys we can get to chime in on this.

Here is a link to Johns replacement parts page. Prices seem very low to me.

Parts can be had, viewed and searched at AMainHobbies as well. Prices are comparable, if not cheaper.

My P60 flies very well so far. On the other hand, so does my Evo and Raptors.

Helis are fun, period and that's what it's about.

Amen brotha! Been a lot of good ones come and go. Hope the Pantera hangs around for a while. I've had 3 go discontinued on me.

I used to live up that way... Ottawa. Nice area up there. Happy flying!

This was a big deciding factor for me, I'll put money down that the Pantera/Audacity has better staying power than ave/most. That's part of my 'anti-sheeple' comment. It wasn't designed to appeal to the people that want the latest, it was designed to endure. (my opinion)

It's always possible we'll jump to some new technology plateau, antiquating much that is available currently but I'm still counting on my 25+ years RC experiance that says this is a good long-term investment for me.

Am I to understand that the Pantera is largely made in the US? If that is true, that in and of itself is a good reason to back John in his endeavors. Everything else is made in stinking China. @$&K China. They may make a decent product, but they suck. They want to take us down. My opinion.

I bought it for two reasons... saw it and liked it... and it's different. Actually, some pretty cool features.
