Its still listed as pre-order so they are not in stock yet. Should be any time now.

Once we get better pics with the canopy off we can see changes have been made. It looks like it comes with 2.4, brushless setup and HH gyro. So lots of HBK2 required upgrades are already included in hte kit. The frame has changed but we can't see the details. Also it looks like they are using the B400 style composit metal swash and have a better tail mechanism.

Jag is the only one I've seen taking pre-orders.

The Xtreme battery tray and canopy are available at HD. Although I'm not a fan of either. Because of the small stock canopy, the battery size is very limited. A small 1800 is about the largest that would fit. The Xtreme canopies look a little to much like toys to me. Plus, there's too much white. I prefer mostly yellow or for visiblity.

I planning on putting the HBK3 canpoy on my HBK2. The colors stand out and because its larger than the HBK2 it should be easier to see.

all righty, gotta check HD out...'bout the canopy colors, i wasn't a fan of the esky white can, so used Krylon plastic paint w/ clear coat, holds up well dispite multiple tip overs, nose ins'
have painted several cans, tail booms, knight heads, etc. and very satisfied with the outcome

Cool. Maybe this one will be ready for public release. Consider the HBK and HBK2 beta test skus.

Hey Jrett, I've been thinking about you lately. I was considering the Outrage G5. It seems that there are a few problems with that bird that require some user mods to address design issue. Same thing with the bird I recently bought. The T500 is famous for shocking Spektrum Rx and and gyro. The solution from Align is an $80 upgrade or you use one of the user community supplied solutions which ranges from easy to more complicated. One of the solutions is ironically the same solution to your HBK2 issues.

I'm not flaming you. Just saying that it seems many quality helis require user mods to operate "as advertised".
