| oven cleaner will remove them, but not good for the alloy apparently, but I used it on an old dinged pipe to try, worked really well, then I rewashed the muffler in warm dishwashing/water mix and left to dry, quick buff and all sweet, 1 year down the track and it still looks like new, other than the massive dent.
