I just had a brutal crash with my vibe 90. (boom strike) but any how, my brand new lipo reciever battery was dented and slightly bent in the crash. The plastic outer covering was not cracked or ruptured. the battery charges ok and still has good amperage and capacity in a discharge test. I just am worried about flying with this in my nice vibe. But im upset cause this was a brand new battery. what do you guys think?

I think its still good, If the shrink wrap is torn. I'd re-wrap it.

Try duct tape or bailing wire.

Howard at FMA Direct said if the battery does not small like Juicy Fruit (means a cell is ruptured) and holds a charge, it is fine.

I have a friend that crashed his King2 with a 3s 2100 in it and it bent it right in the middle about 15 degrees. It looked bad but it was not ruptured. So we set it on the sidewalk for the rest of our flying and it never changed. Well he called FMA and asked what he could do. Howard said take it easy but cycle it and see how it does. Well that was like 30+ cycles ago and zero problems.

Lipo

It boils down to this, if you want to chance the best 90 on the market for another 75 dollars or so, go for it. Personally I would not fly with it but use it as a set up battery.

if it is not ruptured or swelling it will be fine. you said you charged it and did a discharge test, if it worked fine then you dont have anything to worry about.
