Engines Plugs Mufflers Fuel > British fuel prices - Why has the cost of no nitro fuel gone up?

I know, I know, not another brit moaning about our fuel prices post But I feel we are being screwed - Example wildcat helimix no nitro is £14.21 a US gallon and 5% is £14.63 (so 189ml of nitro costs just 42 pence!). On top of that the delivery charge has gone up from £7.50 a case to £12. The excuse for raising the price of glowfuel was the soaring cost of nitro, so how can £14 or $28 be justified for straight fuel that has NO NITRO! These are the LHC (wildcat distributer) prices!

UK WILDCAT FUEL PRICES

So are you being screwed on fuel prices?
Here are a few facts
1) Until LHC came along 5 years ago you were paying more for fuel then than you are now
2) For 3 years LHC did not change fuel prices despite costs rising. Then they lowered the price of fuel passing on the savings from better exchange rates with the dollar.
3) LHC raised its fuel prices in response to the increase in the cost of methane (up*3), the extra shipping costs (up*4) and the dangerous goods regulations cost for handling and postage (up*4)
4)If anyone can get a) the methane or b) shipping cheaper then please let them know:sales1@lhc-rc.com. Prices often quoted on the web are not what is charged when an order is placed.
5)TNT charge lhc £12 a box. They add nothing on for handling nor add on shipping costs. Give the shipping companies a call and if you tell them the truth that you are shipping dangerous goods then you will be suprised at how much a single box will cost. If you lie and dont comply with the dangerous goods directive you will get the fuel shipped cheaper however if anything goes wrong with the shipment you will be liable both in the civil and criminal courts.
LHC pricing is simple we take the cost of goods+shipping+customs charges+dock charges+bank transfer charges and add on 10% profit. From that 10% profit -3% for credit card charges= 7% to pay for rent
business rates,wages,taxes,proffesional fees,Dangerous goods compliance.
So are you being scewed by lhc? no
thats why we are the biggest model fuel supplier and be assured if prices come down lhc's prices will come down

That is the dogs bo****ks of an answer!! There are many on this forum that make simalar noises but don't back it up with any figures at all. This answer not only makes sense but also explains the figures involved. I to was unsure why the price of straight fuel had risen if the crisis was nitro related, but this explains it plain and simple.

By the way, I like wildcat fuel and think it is worth the money, when you compare it with other fuels its a good price.

Good luck

U.K supplier

Why dont you try buying direct. In our club we have 32 member, so we all ordered the new fuel from a U.K supplier, got it a lot cheaper than in the shop, and a little of there price too, but we did have to order 96 gallons to get the best price and no shipping costs
