Will these be okay in my Raptor 90?

I dont have much cash to spend and am trying to find a decent servo that will suit my Raptor. I do fly some 3D/inverted. Thanks.

those will work fine for most of any type of flying. dont let people tell you different. some people including me like to spend big bucks for our servos even though usualy not needed. unless you are crazy 3d youll be fine.

I think someone is in the wrong hobby if they have to penny pinch so dang hard buy the hitecs that you listed they are fine wasting time with 3001's they are fine for throttle not anything esle on a 90 size. good grief you been told the hitecs are fine and then you still want to buy the cheapest servos you can go for it buy them use the 821s I know I dont care anymore. unsubscribed from the fools thread since he dont want to listen to anyone about cheapy servos on a 90 sure glad your not near me to be flying that thing.

yes the first hitec servos you listed are the cheapest servos id out in a heli. anything less you will end up having problems. if you want something cheaper then pick what you want and hope for the best. id save for a bit if you have to and do it right the first time. i too was trying to do it cheap and never got to move forword in the hobby till i spend money on it. having the right equipment really does help. PM me with any questions you want.

Why have you duplicated a thread?

You cannot cut corners on the radio gear...

For that size machine you need good servo's that are reliable and accurate..

Those servos will work in your raptor 90. They certainly arent my favorite a little slow but they will do.you said you are doing 3d.if that is really 3d I would get the jr8717 they work very nicely. If you are just looping rolling that sort of stuff than the servo you sugested will be ok.

Mutt can be a little rough around the edges at times, but I think what he is trying to say is if you consider just the cost of 3 gallons of fuel that you will burn very quickly in the 90 you could go from ok servos to really nice ones.not to mention the cost of repairs.my last raptor 90se crash was over 500 bucks including blades and all.ouch!you gotta love this stuff!

servos

The 4781 servos are a little slow, but have good torque, rember a Raptor 90 is a big and powerful heli and can hurt you fast. If you are a good enough pilot to fly inverted you should learn about how servos work and the minimal equiptment needed to fly the heli you have. When you are looking for stuff for your heli, it is not always about the lowest price, it is about what you need to fly SAFE, if you save $15 on servos and crash and have to spend $300 in repairs then you saved no money. Ask the other heli pilots at your field and get help. Rember fly safe and you will have fun.

Tons of touque, you bet; but MAN that's a slow servo... methinks you wouldn't get a lot of pop on the cyclic
