Im converting a 30 to a 50 with a titan conversion kit. I have a new 50 engine mount and a new 50 fan but the crankshaft on this os50 I bought has had the crank cut off right where the retaining nut should be. Why? How am I supposed to keep the fan and clutch tight?

Probably it was installed in an Ergo or something similar. Manufacturers sometimes do stupid things when designing a helicopter in order to make an engine fit. Get a new crankshaft.

I ain't buyin till I see it flyin.....talk is cheep

Dang, I think I threw away my OS 50 block/crank last week. I switched to a redline after the piston broke it's ring land. I'll double check when I get home.

lathe work

Just a note. I had a friend put my fan/hub in a lathe and turn it down .150" inside so I could install the nut with lots of locktite. I works great now.
