I have a titan with a kasama head and g5 620s. I can get the blades to track perfect in a hover, but after I fly around and do a few loops and rolls the tracking is off by an inch or so. Everything from the swash up is brand new except the red dampers. They came out of the old plastic head with about 25 flights on them. Could it be the dampers or something else?

Do you have another set of blades?

That aside, replace and or lube the dampeners and make sure the blades are a bit looser in your grips than you otherwise might run them.

Does the tracking eventually come back in by itself? The leading cause of this is slop in the collective system, and worn out or low quality collective servo. Bent ball screws have also been the cause of this on a few occasions. You will find tons of solutions for this single problem with a simple search.

Bent Spindle?
How do you get it to track again?

I chewed up a set of red dampers in less than 15 flights. I think there was a bad batch or somthing because there are a few people that have had problems with them wearing out way too fast.

I too was a victim of that batch of bad red dampers. I treat my heli like my baby and look her over when i finish flying. I saw that my good (red) dampers were looking a lil mangled so i went to my LHS and got my hands on the last set of red dampers. i took them out the package and put em in ma TITAN and flew...Whoa whatta difference in SLOP... I immediately landed and took a closer look at those dampers i just installed and sure enough they were just as mushy or more than the blue stock dampers. I was pretty heated!!! So i put my old ones back in and everything was fine.

Sure enough i had 3 sets of reds and i had to try out the new infinivation dampers so i got those too...

Mbrewer, yup those dampers could be the problem, or some slop in your setup. not much is moving when you're in a hover but when u ring it out and bring it back into a hover something may have gotten out of order thus contributing to your temporary loss of MRH Track.
I've seen a few people at the spot where i fly have this same problem.

Nice but I pulled them out of my Kasama head because they were too damn stiff. In the metal head blocks from QUK or Mavrikk they were awesome though.

Well, I put some new red dampers in. The old ones didn't look bad and weren't any softer than the new ones. I only had enough time to run one tank thru it but it appears to have taken care of the problem.

Dblex I hope You're leading the way out. Where do you go when there no safe place for two hundred miles?

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.

I cant leave!

Im the Operations Section Chief in our Incident Command System for this hurricane!

With Gustav and Now Ike, Gasoline levels are low in San Antonio, Austin, Waco areas. We are trying to pump as much as we can out of Corpus to meet the traffic demand for the next 4 days!

No Pressure huh? So I stay til the winds get to 39mph (tropical Storm force), then we shut down and we are outta here! But we have a company plane on stand by to take us out at the last minute. My buddies didnt have that privelage!
