[quote]For a 3D set up you want mid stick to be 0 degrees.

In normal mode, just trying to take off at this point.

OK, Ok, OK--First thing I did was turn the clicker upsidedown and got rid of the "clicks" on the throttle. That in it's self took 80% of the po-go out.
Then I flattened out the pitch from mid stick to #4, 6%. Then cut the throttle by 5% between mid and #4. And added +5 more expo to the elevator.
WOW- lands like a butterfly with sore feet.
No po-go, no wobbles. I am in love with it.
It is amazeing what a little knowledge can do.
Thanks all. I really learned a lot here.
Again Thanks,
Wayne

Personal preference of course but I use a linear pitch curve in every mode with 0 at center stick.

badbill told me once I got into these helies, I would not want to fly "Planks" ,(I love that term), anymore. Well, the last three trips to the field I have not even taken a plane out of the trailor.
AND as soon as the rain quits today, I'm going back with the heli only.
Only problem I have is the cost of the glow fuel. I'm use to flying a whole weekend on $4.00 Looks like now it's costing me $28.00.
If I stay here I'll have to go gas.
Anyone want to buy some 40% Planks?
Wayne.

I had you figured for another great thinker, Horatio :-)
Actually Wayne, Electrics are the ONLY way to fly ... I really say that now after last weekend, my one and only glow heli quit every time I flew it, the POS just WILL not stay running...

Bill, I have no intentions of becomming a Watts Head.
If it don't make noise it's a TOY !!!

Of corse I also said:

#1- I would never have a trailor.

#2- I would never own a JR raido.

#3- I would never own a Helicopter.

Sooooo, I think I'll just say, don't hold yo breath,we will see.

Where you're going wrong is saying you will "NEVER" do something. As soon as you put the never on it, your doomed, it will happen.

Actually, I think learning and flying the 50 size nitro's have a tendency to slow down your learning good control skills. Boy, am I gonna hammered with that comment.

I say that because I started with the CP Pro, got where I could control it somewhat and then went to the bigger heli's, a 50 nitro and a 450 electric. I still spent most of my time practicing with the 450 but once I got where I felt comfortable with the 50 nitro I quit flying the 450 for a while. After three crashes in one weekend with the nitro, I decided to go back to the 450 and get my act back together. The nitro had spoiled me so bad, I couldn't even fly the 450, it took me a week just to get it where I could keep a reasonable hover.

Now I spend most of my time flying the 450's and fly the nitro's every now and then. Bought four cases of fuel and only used about a gallon in the past six weeks.

One other nice thing about that little 450 electric, I can walk out the front door and fly all I want, don't have to load everything up and drive 35 - 45 miles to a field.

Well, Way2slow, I Live in a pine forest so thick I can't throw a biscuit at a cat. Retired and spending way too much time with my wife of 43 years. She can find more things for me to do in an hour than I want to do in the remaining time I have left. So I look for a reason to go to the field, and it is only 1/2 mile up the road. .

As far as slowing down good learning skills, let me be the first to hammer you about that comment. Consider yourself HAMMERED. ( Best I can do right now.)

I will restate my feelings, IF IT DONT MAKE NOISE, BURN FUEL, HAVE A MUFFLER ON IT THAT GETS HOT ENOUGH TO REMOVE 40% OF THE MEAT ON YOUR HAND-
IT IS A TOY !

Besides, I am having too much fun to argue about anything

Let me add my 2 cents in here. I start my flying day with my Minititan, After a couple of batteries, I drag out the 50, and relax. And if I really want to sharpen my reaction time, I take one of my Walkera 4#3s out to the front yard. Those little buggers will hone your skills real fast.

Tacerbob, I really admire your skills. I did not think anyone could fly those little bitty toys.
I tryed to fly them then ended up using them for cat bait.
Take them in the yard, flop them around on the ground get the cats attention then WHAM! got him.

Go ahead and ask him about the one he smashed into the mailbox.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.
