Someone told me that they silver writing canopies were from the first batch, and the ones with red writing are from the second.

Anyone know if this is true or not, and what color will the writing on the next lot of canopies be? Juss outa curiosity.

And checkout the canopy curves in this pic....Luv CAD!

Cheers guys.

I don't know about the writing. But you do have some sweet looking helis there mate! As for the 500, it looks like you have threaded canopy stand-offs. Is this right and if so where did you get them? I'd like to steer away from the cheap plastic and rubber grommets.

Guys are just using hexagonal bolts from the main bearing blocks for their canopy stand off on their Trex 500. I haven't yet but sometimes one side is popped off after I get down pounding on it. I need to do that mod.

Hi there leftyatm,,, good spot mate! Yeah i use those little thumb screws with a 20mm standoff. Had a couple of canopies seek their freedom in fight.

I think i got the thumb screws from heliproz (or somewhere like that), and i had some ex JR vibe 32mm standoffs, cut down to 20mm.(Just under an inch).

That canopy in flight, has no more freedom than a machine bolted to a factory floor now.... I like that canopy, and i dont want it falling off. I think its the US one,,, but its close enough for us in AUS.

Cheers mate. Chris.

I just finished my 700 build this past Monday. Right now, this is the only 700 and 500 on Okinawa. The 700 has Silver writing. Does this apply to all of the Trex line?

Oh, this is the Trex500CF that my boyfriend won in the drawing Heliproz South had back in Febuary this year. He gave it to me as a gift. It's so cute. I love it! Thank you Ron Lund! We send you photos of it in action we haven't forgotten you.

How could you guys tell I like Align? There is also a 450 that didnt make this pic. I'm not very fond of some of Align's products, but their helis have yet to dissapoint. I have an Evo50 and a V50IMZ as well, but they pretty stay on the shelf these days. I stick to what flies as advertised.
