Align T-REX 600N 700N > T-REX 600N Align 2n1 won't ignite glow plug... it's dead.

I bought an Align 2n1 at IRCHA and it's worked great until today. I bought a larger battery so I removed the 2n1 from the heli trying to remount it all. When it was reinstalled I noticed the ignitor won't work anymore. All it does when I push the button is turn red then quickly goes off.

I put a volt meter on the wires and it simply won't put anything out on the glow plug side. Anyone else ran into this yet?

Yup, and I took it apart, unplugged the remote and wires, and plugged in the remote switch from one of the 2 other 2n1s that I burnt up in the past.

Fly it like you stole it, then sneak it in the house the same way..

It is a long shot, but are you sure you have it grounded correctly.

Actually I'm testing it with a volt meter so I'm grounding it to the leads. I wish that's all it was.

Hmm

Not trying to be a richard here but Ive heard to many nutty things about those align 2 in 1 this is why I stayed away from it. Sounded like a great thing to have but I just went with my remote glow plug wire and well I have issues with that as well so guess its not perfect either.

What to do right

Well I think I can fly it..............UH OH OOPS heres your heli.

I have that same problem twice, the first time was because it was not well grounded and the second time was more of an intermitent thing and this was because the clip was not 100% well fastened to the glow plug. I have over 100 flights using align 2 in 1 and I just love not having to fight with a glow igniter.

I wish I could fly 24/7

I had the same thing happen to me at IRCHA and grounded me for the weekend luckily I had my 600 there as well.

Upon coming home and looking it over, the red light is showing that there is a short in the system and will not allow it to light the glow plug.
I put in a bigger battery as well that weekend and I think it was pushing the aligator clip to the side of the head which creates a dead short.
Now after moving the batter forward as to not interfere with the glow plug lead it has been flawless.
