e-Walkera Helicopters > Just bought a Walkera 4#3 look alike.

So ive just ordered one of these helis although not a Walkera 4#3 its the same basic heli. Ive also ordered a spare motor, heat sink, landing gear, blades, 2x Titanuim flybars, tail shaft and a second battery. Im going to do the gluing of the swash ball to the main shaft or use a spacer and add extra flybar weights which I have made on a lathe. I am not going to bother with the full metal head as im guessing it will just add weight, I was thinking of using a smaller Li-po 300mah maybe to bring the weight down further, are they available?

Just recieved it! Its so stable im not going to bother with the extra flybar weights! It came with the servo balls on the inner most holes so ive moved them to the middle hole to make it respond a bit better. Tail feels really good too although in the manual it says there is a gain adjustment pot for the gyro but there isn't! Just a servo extent pot.

Wow, that didn't take long. Now the Chinese are copying each other. Interesting.

Try not. Do or do not. There is no try

I think someone should make one of these even smaller! Same head, servos and 4 in 1 but shorter blades, flybar, boom, tail blades, smaller canopy, motors and battery. The smaller motors and battery would give it a much lighter weight, maybe they could use the tail motor on this thing for the main motor on a smaller version. Before I got this heli I thought that is must be the smallest they could make without sacrificing stability but this thing is mind-bogglingly stable (indoors).

Hello Guys,

Richardmid1... With so many parts and quality issues, I'm surprised that any Chinese factory will attempt to copy the Walkera micros. Even the 4#3b went through 4 of 5 versions before they got it right. Besides the original Walkera 4#3b with the metal head is only $99 from wowhobbies.com out of Orange County in California... did you get it for less? There is no money / no motivation for any copycats??

Yoshgixxer... I heard that Walkera is also working on a CP version of the 4#3b. Did you have any info on that? The rumor is that the belt driven tail on these micros are less then reliable because of their size. The notches on the belts tends to ware out and if they were any bigger they probably need a much bigger boom which defeats the purpose of a micro in the first place.... just my opinion...

Another question is that with a CP flying 3D indoors... at least I thought that's one of the attraction of CP in the first place... is there really sufficient room in an average house to fly 3D? Is there really any praticality for a CP on a micro other than stability? And if the 4#3b is already relatively stable then any CP on a micro would be kind of pointless????

May be we will just want one for bragging rights? Ha ha ha...
Have any one seen the gaui 200 in action??? Is the belt-driven tail reliable? Would appreciate any input from you guys. Thanks,

The Gaui is bigger than the Walkera for a start.
Buzzflyer isnt a clone, it IS a Walkera but marketed differently.
The CP Walkera is real, and it will be released, but not for a while yet.

If you bling it, they will come :D

i had a gaui 200..yes with a good size 15x15 room flips and rolls are possible.and they make it in belt or TT. but the TT seems to strip easy so i stuck with the belt,my tail held fine, just as good as a 450. theres some guys doin insane 3d in 2 car garage on you tube...i think its jason krause.. so there is a good reason for small CP especially during the winter if you can get out to a garage or gym..it would be like flying a 90 at a big open field!

dude..wheres my heli?????ama#902014
