| DN Power Balance Charger for Lion / Lipo Batteries - lightly used, in excellent condition.
The DN Power G2 Balance Charger is reliable and EASY TO USE, making it a good choice for most RC enthusiasts. This charger has an LCD display that shows you exactly what's happening with your Lipo, displaying the voltage and charge rate for each cell. And with a charge rate up to 2 amps, it will charge your larger Lipos in a reasonable time. To provide power to the charger, simply connect to any 11 to 15 volt power supply that provides 5 amps or more, such as an auto battery or the supplied AC power supply. A connection cord with alligator clips is included, and there is a standard Tamiya connector on the charger for connecting to other power sources.
Here is how you charge a Lipo battery with the DN Power Charger: 1. With the charger connected to a 12V power source, plug your Lipo battery into the appropriate charging port. You will immediately see the voltage of each cell displayed. 2. Press the button with the 'up arrow' to select the charge rate (see the FAQ section below for information on selecting the correct charge rate). 3. Press the start button.
It's really that easy. Each cell of your Lipo will be independently charged to 4.2 volts. When all the cells are fully charged, the charger beeps several times. The beeping is repeated in 1 minute intervals until the Lipo is disconnected. (I really like this feature, as my memory isn't what it used to be!)
The charge rate on the DN Power Charger can be set from 0.2 amps (200 milliamps) to 2.0 amps (2000 milliamps) in 0.2 amp increments. This means that you can safely charge Lipos as small as 200 mah with this charger, plus it will charge 1 to 4 cell Lipos of up to 2300 mah capacity in about an hour. Larger capacity Lipos can also be charged, of course. There are four charging ports on the DN Power Charger that allow you to to charge 1 cell, 2 cell, 3 cell, and 4 cell Lipos. These ports are for the JST/XH balance connectors with 2.5mm pin spacing. This balance connector is used on the following Lipos: 3E Model, Align, BatteryHobby, Common Sense RC version 2, DualSky, Dynam, Electric Power, Esky, Fully Max, GE Power, Great Planes Electrify, Hextronic, HiModel, Hobby Loong, Horizon E-flite, Horizon Parkzone, Imax, Mega Power, Mystery, Protek, RadicalRC, Turborix, Vampower, Venom, Walkera and X-Caliber Lipos. These Lipos are plugged into the charger using the reverse polarity adapters included with the charger. The JST/XH connector is also used on Common Sense RC version 1, DN Power, and Tenergy Lipos, but the polarity is the reverse of the others listed above. These Lipos plug directly into the charger. There's no need to worry about plugging a Lipo in wrong - there is reverse polarity protection built in! The DN Power Charger also has a general charging port that can be used to connect other balance connectors. This allows you to charge virtually any 1 to 4 cell Lipo made. Please read and observe all safety precautions provided with this battery charger before use. Never charge Lithium Polymer batteries at a rate greater than 1C. As this charger has a minimum charge rate of 200 milliamps, it should only be used to charge Lipo batteries of 200 mah or larger. ALWAYS BE CERTAIN OF YOUR CHARGE RATE! Always charge Lipo batteries on a fireproof surface, and never leave unattended while charging.
