This is pretty random, but I was flipping through some pics from my travels, and I have little or no memory of some of the places in the pictures.
This got me to thinking about how fast are lives move. There just isn't enough time in a day to stop everything you're doing and take everything in.
That is the problem with my pictures. Hurry up, snap snap snap, remember later. Oh well, just an errant thought I suppose.

No, there are people taking photos using a digital camera, and saving the files as tiff, raw, or png

And, I have a friend, that uses his video camera to take photos and video at the same time! And he is saving the video and the files on a mini dvd

I shoot in RAW. But then use CS3 to post-edit. RAW is a nice format

Yes, raw is a very nice format, and it give you a very good quality.

I save the majority of the photos in raw

OK evidently the post was lost. Yes I'm using a digital. And j-peg. I was talking about life, not about what kind of camera I was using.

Post was not lost, there was a reason for the question.

So, since you are using jpeg, you can save the info about your trip, date, time, location, etc on the file info (metadata).

Any good viewer can then display or call the info about the photos that you took

I think what I was getting at was, I remember the places, but I don't remember the experience because I'm always in a hurry to move on and see the next thing.

Sorry about the thread high jack Billings. I know exactly what you mean sometimes though. Remember going there and doing things, but it's hard to recall the feelings you had there. Other places, times, people, etc though, I will never forget those feelings and emotions.

I LOVE MY EVO!!!
