by adding a certain someone to my ignore list. This is freaking awesome. I see some threads from three days ago I'll get to respond to without having to dig too deep. Who knew one person could literally ruin an entire section of RR?

Aaaaahhhhhh! This is refreshing.

If I thought you weren't my friend...I just don't think I could bear it.

Drunkmonk try this, put LouInSD on your ignore list and then come back to off topics, you won't believe it,the whole thing is then only like 2 pages long.

Now now, all this calling Louie names is just mean.
Give the lad a break, he has enough trouble pointing to Earth on a globe, let alone make any sense when he posts..

I really don't have a issue with Lou's political thread starting because I like reading the arguments but its just getting really difficult to navigate the off topics because it seems like his threads dominate the page. I don't want to put him on my ignore list because I don't have a problem with him personally. I do, however, strongly disagree with his political views.

Oh he can say whatever he wants to (no matter how idiotic he sounds) as far as I'm concerned. I just like the fact that I don't have to weed through his 15 threads before I find someone I'm actually interested in conversing with.

'Ignore Lists' are for ignorant folks who're happy driving partially blind. It's the weak way out of facing up to the sad fact that what other folks think may be over your head.

That's alright though -- the world needs janitors and burger flippers too.

Why, yes -- I WOULD like fries with that!

And thanks -- keep the change.

You have no way of knowing what an individual's motivation for using the ignore list may be. What if they were scammed by someone or physically threatened and never wish to see or hear from that person again? To make a blanket statement as you have is pretty ignorant in and of itself.

As I have previously stated, there is only one person on my ignore list so I'm pretty confident that I am not "driving blind". If I wanted to read the Moveon talking points, I would do so. I don't need this poster making 5 different threads about the same damn thing. He has his opinion and that is fine. But if he can't have a serious debate without insulting someone who makes a valid point against his, then I personally do not feel as though I need to read his garbage and waste my screen space with his threads.

I resently ignored a certain someone as well.

Yes it does clean up the site too. AND I dont care who likes it or not,as I dont have to waist my time or wade thru his foolishness. For those that dont agree... your next...
