Anyone have any good data on cycle life for a trex 500 battery. I'm currently running maxamps 6S 3000mah at about 20 amps average according to my elogger. How long have some of your batteries lasted out there?

My blade mCX can outfly your Aurora!! (in a 1' x 1' x 1' box) :)

I don't know yet, my 500 packs only have about 10 flights But it depends on how you fly the heli, how much you take out and how you put it back in whether it be with a good charger/balancer set up and I bet if you dont let them cool between charges it can affect longevity. I've seen anywhere from 50-300 depending on the care put into them. Of course at 300 flights they aren't going to have the pop and snap they once had!

Max Amps offers a 300cycle warranty did you get it when you got your battery

I guess the answer to your question is 300

I have many batts that have surpassed that but not when flying helis hard 3-D. I usually get around 50 or 60 cycles before I notice a performance drop but they fly well just not like new for 100s of cycles. before I was able to fly hard I had many MaxAmp packs surpass the 300cycle mark as well as thunder power and and Evo(flight power)
I am a little biased toward the maxamps because they are local for me, use quality cells, and stand behind what the sell. Take care of your packs don't let them get to too hot or discharged to far as well as balance them when charging.
BTW: I have 6 MaxAmps 6s3000s for my trex 500 awesome battery.

Thanks talegunner, that was the reply i was looking for. AFter so many "claims" by manufacturers, i wanted to know that if you took care of your packs they could last 300 cycles.
