If you use any other gov you have to custom make a bracket and I found that a real bitch to do, I'm using a revmax. Apart from that my kit went together great and should have it's first test flight tomorrow

Interesting. I too am using a RevMax, but I didn't think that creating a mount was all that difficult. Buddy of mine and I just cut down my original 90 size fiberglass mount provided my Model Avionics and then slotted new holes in it for the Align screws. Then we just mounted that up to the provided Align plastic mount which then mounts to the frame.

Now if I ever have to service that mount it's going to be a real PITA just based on where it's located.

Dale - You might want to consider re-lining the clutch with a new liner. There have been various reports of clutches breaking and some are questioning the clutch to liner gap from the factory. Might be easier to do it now than to tear it out later. (Which is what I'll end up having to do.) Other than that, my kit went together pretty well with the exception of crooked links (which I'm sure Align will be addressing soon) and having to modify my elevator link (shorten it) in order to get the swash to sit level will all arms at 90 degrees.

I didn't have my gov to hand when I was building it so had to do it later which was why I had such difficulty with it and getting it to line up. Can't wait for align to bring out proper sensor brackets.

Aight Guys 'n' monkey!!....happy birthday for tomorrow pal!

When building the original pre-production 700's i used a CSM Revlock bracket originally design for the Synergy and later modified for the 600N.

I fitted it using the plastic stand off bracket supplied in the 700 kits and just had to trim the end down very slightly to allow for the sensor to be curled over the end, the Revlock just gets mounted flush to the end so the bracket is slightly too long when used with a revmax sensor but it does work great.

This is the CSM Synergy/600 Bracket that i used:

USe the Align Gov mount with the Align sensor...all you have to do is swap to connector with a futaba or JR plug. Seeing you're building a 90 I can assume this isn't your first rodeo so you should have an extra servo plug laying around from either a jumper or blown servo. JUST MAKE SURE YOU SWITCH THE POLARITY! It's a heck of alot easier to solder on a new plug than fab a new mount.

Yeah

Use the Align Gove. Its a great gove and easy to use. It hold great and as for the kit it went together very very well. If you built a 600 then the 700 is a lot easier to build. Its a joy to build. And one little tip. The shims for the main shaft. There are 5 total. Use the smallest one in the kit. Me and everyone i have asked had to use the smallest one as well.

Other than that its a great build and flies awesome. And use the Align gove. You have it and its ready for it why waist the time. The Gove is very easy to set up and easy to install as well. So welcome to the club and enjoy it as we all know you will

And No go with the new Align 91HP or the new O.S 91HZ. you will not look back. The motor makes so much power and you cant bog it down. Its a great motor and much much better than the SZ motor. Good luck with your build
