My canopy is deformed and rubs the main gear on one side. Did anyone have this problem? I guess I will have to buy a new canopy. Well there goes the good value of this kit

Try and pull it out with a heat gun or hair dryer. Stuff the canopy with something to give it the shape you want. Don't get it to hot, and keep checking the shape.

Call where you got it from and have them send you a new one. Mine had small little cracks in it and I called and had a new one in a week. Its worth the try any ways and you will have a extra canopy. Also you may be pushing the canopy in to far and its rubbing the main gear. I did that with mine and thought the same thing but it was just me. Also check to make sure the canopy grommets are on right. You may have them on wrong and they are going in to far as well. there is not much clearance between the canopy and main gear. Try a few things out I am sure you will get it fixed and if not call the place you bought it from and they will get you a new canopy.

I had that happen to my 600 canopy. It looks like from being in the package on its side, the top side drooped down. I just took a t-shirt and stuffed it in there lightly and propped it upright. Let it sit overnight and it was fine.

yeah me too boogie. I haven't dealt with it yet but the box is almost too small for this canopy and I believe they have been pushed down and deformed during shipment when the FG is still a bit green.

I'll heat mine and bend it to the correct shape....it's gonna get smashed anyways!!!

Is yours also a out of the box problem? If it is, then what you can do for a quick fix is to add a thick plastic spacer at the upper canopy post. Mine has that problem due to VERY VERY badly misaligned rear canopy grommet holes.

#61 on the 700N list and Proud of it.

Just checked....yes mine also. I may have to do a bit of FG work there or I may drill another hole and mount the canopy standoff a bit lower on one side. What a bugger.

My has the same issue of the canopy touching the main gear.

I also noticed that if you are looking at the heli nose in you will see that the left side of the canopy is lower than the right. So, Align drilled the 2 left side canopy holes incorrectly, causing the canopy to sit lower on one side and causing the canopy to rub on the main gear.

I'm trying to get the canopy swapped.

Good luck with that I called Assurance for the last 3 days at least 7 times and the guy (Frank)that is in charge of returns was never there (imagine that) finally the guy told me that the place where I bought my heli is there dealers but did not get my kit from them. I thought Align and Assurance was the same people. I think I think I was getting the run around

Yeap, if the shop you got it from doesn't get the product from them, they don't help you, which sucks.

I'm dealing with the shop I got it from for replacement.

I've actually stopped flying with the canopy. I now fly with the canopy off. I refuse to fly with that ugly A$$ canopy. What a joke.

I had a few cracks in my canopy. I emailed the shop and this was before any canopies were even for sale. I got a new on in a week and have had no problems. So yes the smart thing is to call the place you bought it from and let them deal with it. try not to go any further than that unless you have to. Just becausr assurance is one of the major destributors for Align dose not mean every one gets there trex from them. There are 2 major distributors for align and yes assurancr is one. Let the shop you got it from deal with it.
