Should these plastic pushrod guides be loose on the boom? If not do you glue them or what?

I used pieces of tie wraps to act like a wedge. And no they should not be loose. Or you could just make your own push rod using a carbon rod. It takes about five minutes, and no more worries.

Most of the guys in my area slide a zip strip under them and them cut them off flush with the guides. Looks nice and clean. My father is running a carbon rod and I hate it. He seems to have a small tail "wag" that is only caused by the carbon rod. The gyro is set up properly. hope this helps.

It's actually designed for using the wire ties. There is a raised "bump" on the top where you slide the wire tie in and use an exacto to trim it up nicely.

Here's another option ..... use the Beam carbon tail control rod and you won't need guides ever again. It is much stiffer than the align control rod and won't flex. Most of the guys at our field are using it and love it. Just my 2cents.

Cheap, looks good and works perfect.

Do what you love and you'll never work a day in you're life.
