| Most of the guys in my area slide a zip strip under them and them cut them off flush with the guides. Looks nice and clean. My father is running a carbon rod and I hate it. He seems to have a small tail "wag" that is only caused by the carbon rod. The gyro is set up properly. hope this helps.
