| Engine problemsJudging from what you are telling me.....its starting but not reving? Okay do this......remove and clean your spark plug, check the gap on her and see where you are at (regap if neccessary). My Kalt Gasser uses 0.6 to 0.7mm Gap on a NGK BMR-7A plug, check what yours is and go with the manufacturers recommended gap. Then check that when you prime the engine, does the soft primer bulb (primer) maintain fuel looks like it has, but check anyways. Also check your choke should be at midpoint on the engine when starting, lean it out only after starting to get proper idling, the exhaust should be splattering oil slightly or have an oily residue........that is perfect, as the bird is breaking in, you can lean it out a bit more. Lastly check you engine throttle curve, the throttle servo should be full throw while the engine carb should never be wide open but a 95% open, because if it is wide ope, it floods.......lastly then pitch and throttle at hover, should have the throttel at 65-80% carb open and the pitch at 5 degrees somewhere there abouts. Does this help? Also check your batteries, do not use Nicads! We had problems with NICAD's and went regular batteries, So Use regular AA batteries in the timing box, you have changed your batteries right? Always use fresh batteries.
Also, do you have a construction manual or setup manual? If so, can you scan it and send me a copy of the entire thing? I would appreciate it, I can't find mine. But if you can send me a copy I would appreciate it. My email is 1stsgtbang@gmail.com
Also view the pictures of my airship, is it like this one. If so, they are pretty cool birds. Lastly this is also an idea, we run 87 octane fuel here, never the rich stuff.......it burns hotter, you might want to try a lower grade fuel octane we here in the states have regular, mid and supereme....try the lowest grade, use whatever fuel weed eaters use over there, that is what is recommended. Hope this helps, I am anxious to get mine in the air as soon as I get time.
