Well, my parts finally came in for the 4#3.
I pulled the old, over modified headworks off, and put on the new alum version (comes standard with the 4#3b v2).

I've only got two flights on it with the new head works, but there is a definite improvement in some areas. It's a LOT smoother now. But it's also a lot more positive on the controls.

It's better, but it's like having to learn to fly it all over again.

Still though, it's nice to have my office flier back, I've missed it.

For the micro freaks out there. Looks like Align is about ready to release their 250 T-Rex. Should be a good scaled down copy of the 450, and just as over priced. Like the Gaui, and the SJM though, it's a CP with the same high head speeds. That makes them a hazard in the house.

I'm waiting for Esky to come out with a 200mm rotor FP.
The Walkera is gaining popularity, especially now with the much improved head design. It's time for Esky to join in. Picture a half sized Honeybee FP.

Good indoor flier.

Outrage 200 is out due out before the end of the year. Not sure what market they going for, but most likely better than the Trex and Gaui. Pricewise Outrage isn't the cheapest so it could end just crowding the market. Once Elfight comes out with thier 200 CP then you'll see Esky clone it for cheaper.

Yes, a little Esky FP heli about 1/2 the size of the HBFP would be a great indoor flyer on those very cold winter or rainy days. Sure, I've flown the HBFP indoors, but it's still too big to fly comfortably in confined areas. Also, those plastic blades on the HBFP can inflict some pretty good damage on furniture and walls, as well (been there and done that...a couple of times ).

I've had my eye on the 4#3 and I may just pick one up before winter. I can definately see me flying some circuits, 8s and FFF with the 4#3 in my living room .

Once you get the hang of flying a 4#3, they're a kick-ass little heli. But they do command some focus! The newer v2 is def. stepping in the right direction with these. I'm actually surprised that no one else is doing a micro in this class.
