My bonus is arriving next month and my plan is to use the money on a new heli
But I have not decided if I should buy a Vigor CS or wait for the Fury Tempest FAI.

I'm going to use it for FAI type of flying.

Can anyone help me decide?

What is the advantages/disadvantages with the fury tempest and the Vigor CS?

I don't think anyone will be able to actually tell you what the advantages are between the models. Since the Fury Tempest is not even on the market yet. But the Vigor CS is a great model (own one). That is not to say the the Tempest will not be. I am a big fan of the Fury (own one of these to). And am VERY interested in seeing how good the Tempest actually is. But for now I think asking for a comparison between the two is a little pre-mature. Give it some time to come out, and for people to form actuall oppinions. Then post this poll. Then and only then do I think you will get a fair answer.

I know the question is a little pre-mature because the Tempest is not on the market yet, but the tempest head has already been on the market for a while and a lot of people has already tried it on a Fury. I think the head is one of the most important things on a heli and what makes the big difference the helis hover characteristic.

Therefore I hope that someone who has flown both the fury with a tempest head and a Vigor can say something about the likes and dislikes.

The Tempest FAI or 3D heads can be used on just about any helicopter with a 10mm main shaft and a sliding swashplate. Because the blade grip spacing is wider, you do have to be mindful about tail rotor/main rotor combination so that there isn't any interference. As the word starts to get out on how these heads perform, I suspect more people will be interested in doing just what you suggest.

Its just not a comparable deal. One is established and one isn't even out yet. Kind of like the nay-sayers of the Predator, it hasn't been out long enough for a fair comparison and yet it gets shot down again and again.

This is no different than when a new car model comes out, its going to take some time to make sure that the new design is everything its being sold as.

I went to a fun fly last week, saw a bunch of vigors an raptors, and just one fury and it self-destructed in the air!
