Chris, You really have come along way since March-For real- But selling a beautiful machine like the mini-titan that is fully capable of doing anything and everything A 500 is going to be more expensive- especially the batteries. Why Chris ?

Well the answer is simple, I have 2 450s now and don't need 2. If I am going to have 3 helis, they will all be totally different. As for a 500, IF I do it ... it will either be a Protos or a T500. Both are the same price but I probably won't buy one new. I missed out on a super deal on a Protos the other day cause I didn't have the money. So I am going to sit back and watch closely.

The reason for selling the Mini vs the Rex is also simple. I really like both but for different reasons. So far I like the way the Rex flies better. Plus it is a little easier on batteries and parts are semi-local. These are all pluses that made me decide to keep it over the Mini. That said, man the Rex is a total PITA to work on! But that will always be something the Mini does much better. It is a hard decision but one that I believe will be for the best as time goes on.

Oh and Doug, the 500s are not that expensive. Aside from the $500 kit cost, $200 charger, $250 worth of servos ... batteries are not bad at all

I was leaning towards a T500 for a while but decided against it. Main reasons were, run time, repair costs and battery expense. Plus I don't have 450 yet.

Seems like a solid decision to me Chris. You have a 450 already which could be "risk taker" heli. The T500 will do better in the wind, giving you more chances to fly.

Have you considered the TREX500.

it would match your 450.

[quote]either be a Protos or a T500. Both are the same price

Since the TREX comes with the blades,Motor and ESC, I don't THINK it's significantly more than these.

PLUS, you DO see them used.

Not to be Capt. Oblious:

You can fly a 500 in a yard some.

Not properly, but it's a blast just to spool it up.

As a note, T500 = T-Rex 500

Nors the Logo 500 is too big. I don't know why these companies can't decide on a naming scheme. If it uses 550mm blades, call it a 550. If it uses 425mm blades, call it a 425. And so on. Some companies like TT and Gaui do this but I wish the others would follow suit. Ok back on track ... I really do like the Logo stuff but everything they make is both too expensive and too big. Maybe the Logo 400 will be more attractive when it comes out. I am aiming for 425mm main blade heli and the only ones I know of are the HDX500, Rex500 and Protos. These are small enough to fly at a park but big enough to see easily. They also take a modest battery that is not horribly expensive.
