Events, Shows and Fun Flys > How best to run a flight line at a fly in?

I am helping run a fly in and am looking for input in how pilots like a flight line run to make an event run smoothly. Our event will have three flight lines.

Should two be open to 2.4GHZ helis only and have frequency control on one? Do you like sign up sheets and get called when a flight line is available?

Any ideas on how to make things run smoothly?

I'll jump in,

We have a 450 ft runway. We "borrowed" some orange cones and placed one at each end and two evenly spaced as flight stations. Seemed to work our well.

PM sent. You should have 1 flight line with the radio inpound in the center. No need to inpound the 2.4 radios but they still need to register to show that they have there AMA current at least. If you dont have that many flight stations then you will need to come up with a sign up sheet or A number pin for each station that you have available to fly at. Then maybe have a time limit for them to return the pin from the station there flying at and give somebody else a turn.
