I'm curious as to whether anyone has opened up a JR 8717 or 8900 servo and could provide me with some photos.
THanks.

I'm just wondering if the servo is receptive to having it's electronics swapped.

Replacing it with my own PCB so I only need 2 serial lines that can control all the servos.

The pcb is kind of free floating and held in place when the bottom part of the case is screwed on. Wires go out to the pot and motor. The other question moving on from 9387ASH that springs to mind is why don't you open one of your own servos and have a look?

Andy, he may not have any yet depending if he has the space to carry out his mod.
Would be an expensive mistake to buy theses servos then find you haven't any room !!

Thanks for the photo. Yeah I bought a bunch of titanium servos once before I figured out that they were not suitable. Whew, that was expensive lol.
