e-E-Flite Blade CP mCX CX 400-3D > TX / RX binding question

So, I'll post this here as everyone has Spektrum TXs. I bought a plane and plan to use my DX6i that came with my 400. I don't understand how to bind the TX to the reciever that I bought. THe manual does explain it, but the battery and the bind plug both need to plugged in at the same time...both to the battery inlet on the RX...how do I plug them both in at the same time??

Thank guys,
Mark

figured it out....kinda

I figured out that you can plug the ESC into the throttle port then the bind plug into that battery port...the flashing LED went solid, indicating that the binding took place...but now no reaction from the servos at all. Anyone?

Thanks

You have it right the esc does go into the throttle port, and the binding plug into the battery port. With the transmitter off hold the binding button in then turn on the tx, and release the binding button. If and you said it did go solid then disconnect the lipo pull out the binding plug, and reconnect the lipo and you should be ready to go.
I guess I forgot to ask what kind of receiver you have?

frustrated

Thanks Whirly,

The rx is the Spektrum AR6200. I think that they bound correctly as the flashing LRD turned solid...but the TX and RX don't seem to be talking as I can get no movement from the servos. Any advice would be welcome.

Regards,
Mark

I had to bind the DX6i to an ar6100e I put the bind plug into the battery connection of the reciever and then plug the battery into the esc, the reciever will flash. Turn the radio on while holding the bind switch ( I beleive it is the on on the top left of the transmitter). Unlike the DX7 which actually has a button on the rear. The reciever should start to flash rapidly and then go soild, when that happens turn the radio off and esc unplug the bind plug or nothing will work, turn on the transmitter then the reciever and it should be bound.

Do you have everything pluged in correctly and not reversed? Just an idea!!

Still trying

Charged the battery today hoping that was the problem...still nothing. I'm sure the bind took, the servos just won't move for. In 'monitor' on the tx, it shows that they should be moving...they just aren't. Still looking for help but I may have to take a day off and head to the lhs.
Thanks guys.
