The part I don't like about trying to help people on a group is you usually don't get the necessary details to give a useful answer

How about a reed switch and a magnet?

If you had clarified your "in panel" mount details and the input requirements of the lighting and sound module, things would have neen much better. But you didn't do that.

darens, what do you call a person that offers NO help and only issues deragotary comments ?

The issue is that i want to hide, or incorporate the switch into a scale dash board. This means that i havn't got room for a standard push on / push off switch...

There's barely room for a sub micro switch actually.

AirwolfRC - not to split hairs with you here, but i did before you even posted within this thread.

But then if you had read my post in detail, you would have noticed my comments within the quotes above.

I did read your post and without any details of the "dash", your comments meant little.

I'm an engineer by trade and details are everything.

Hi Steve,

In theory yes although i was aiming on being able to turn on both functions without the need of a TX.

Anyway just been to the local maplins store to gather the required components. Thanks again to copperclads helpful advice.

Airwolf, in your quest for answers I suggest you search your own ego, but be patient, for it is a mighty large place!

darrens, you have yet to contribute anything at all to this issue.
WHY ARE YOU HERE ? ? . . . to mitigate your first comment ?

I'm here because the machine in question belongs to me and if Tris or myself knew the answer, this post would not exist.

That being the case, you have wasted time and energy on the WRONG focus. If you are actually looking for an answer, then provide the necessary details so one is able to give usable answers. Fact is I could design and build exactly what you're looking for but you make one play twenty questions while you're not going off topic trying to sooth your hurt feelings.

Please don't worry, my feeliings are not hurt.....I just made an accurate observation of your persona.
As for what you could or couldn't build it is of no concern as copperclad has offered some useful help and the problem is resolved. Ultimately, I could not allow myself to take something from you as having to be grateful would just be far too distasteful.

Well copperclad managed it, perhaps you have finally found someone better than you.....I know, not possible in ego world!

You have a partial answer only. But now your ego is getting in the way of finding a complete answer to your technical quest. If you can put your ego and attitude aside, I will be happy to stick to the subject and give you a complete answer, schematics and all.

I'm really glad I'm "not" going off topic.....as I'm NOT experiencing hurt feelings either

Such a mistake from the self proclaimed paragon of accuracy!!

Well, if you're no longer interested in solving your control problem, I don't need to be here watching you waste everybody's time.

Clearly you're more interested in arguing than in answering the technical question here.

Do I see some (A?)ADD here ?

BTW darrens - welcome to my ignore list.
