Those of you that run the spartan ds760 what servo are you using with it? I am looking to put it on a trex500.

how does the 9254 hold up? that is what i have on there now with the 401. the 401 is doing a ok job but i am starting to get a little more agressive and a lot lower to the ground and i just dont want to worry about the tail.

You can use your 9254 for now. It should hold up just fine, depending on how many flights it has already on it. As you find you want a faster servo, a 9257 would not be a bad choice.

After experiencing two 9254 failures, I'm done with them. Yes, they hold up well for like 200 flights but then they start acting up. Piruetting autos are for me one of the hardest things to do so I try to avoid them as possible.

Like mentioned, on a Trex 500 the servo of choice appears to be the 9257. Several of my friends have them without issues. For 50 sized up I use the bls251 or similar like 9256 or even 9251. I just stay away from the 9254. Its not worth the hassle.

I've had two 9254 failures and now use mainly JR 8900g's. In my Trex 700 I've got a BLS 251 fitted and noticed last week that the servo feels notchy around the centre turned by hand with power off. I stripped it down to see if there were any broken teeth on the gears but they're all fine, no debris and now re-greased, it still moves smoothly when in use so I'm a little puzzled - anyone got any ideas.

Perhaps it was not well fitted at the factory or not greased properly?

Strangely I've just charged up the battery on the 700 and the servo is now smooth throughout its travel, I guess I must have missed a small piece of something.
