What do you think of the Kalt Mercury CCPM. What is the difference between Kalt Mercury and Kalt Mercury M?

Mercury and Mercury M

The Mercury M is a 46 / 50 size helicopter. It uses the baron 30 canopy, has stacked metal frames CCPM and is one of my most used helicopters. I will practice most of my 3d manuvers with the 46 , since it does not have as much power as the 60 mercury, then what I learned in finess with the 46 I will incoprorate it into the Mercruy 60. It is a extremely stable machine and great fuel economy with the 46. Ive been told its a rocket with a 50 in it but have not tried one yet.

Decision

Thanks for the input and the page view. I will probably go with the Mercury M with the 50 OS engine. I saw a kit on Heliproz web site. There were recommendations for some upgrade parts on the ad. ?

Mercury M

The only upgrade I have on my 46 is a metal swashplate. I heard that you should probably go up one size on the blade grip bots with the 50. But besides the swashplate mine is completely stock and kaos's all day long without any bogging.

Mercury

Alan is right on the swashplate, get the metal one from the get go.I had the stock swash pull apart on the 4th flight, luckily HPI was willing to look at my heli and replaced it with a new kit.A couple more items are Sullivan 16 oz. tank and dual boom supports. The Merc. is the best machine I have flown.

Hi guys!

I have a Baron S and think it is the best 30 size ship I have seen. I have been using a Falcon for my 50 mount since it was a gift but one day repairing may not be an option and will need something to mount all the gear in. I was asking Eric at Heliproz about the Mercury and perhaps I was misunderstood but I was not aware that HPI was going to produce the Mercury yet (still working on gearing up for the 30 market first) Granted since the Mercury and the Baron share many parts it makes sense to add a few parts and have a new helo as well who knows what HPI will do? Anyone have any info to add or dispute this. I sure do like the old Kalt and hope HPI will get into the helo market soon........

Mercury

I dealt with Steve Baker at HPI and he mentioned that HPI was going to hand off the helis to one of their sister companies. From what I understand, they were having troubles locating all their tooling.I believe parts are now being produced for the Baron 30 and Mercury 50.

Mercury 50

Thanks cripskillz, countach, whrlybrd, and alan for the input.
A friend told me that I should make sure I can get parts down the road before I buy the Mercury 50.
Looks like an awesome machine for for the money. I want to buy it. Heliproz has a great price with the OS 50.
