Any canopy looks great till it hits the ground. Then when it does you just have an expensive canopy that has lots of cracks in it.

Mike,

I though you want Insane Canopy before. I talked to Oat at Insane Canopy before and he told me that you were calling him and ask him to sponsor you the canopy and he say no to you after that you were asked him for some discount and he say no to you also. Is this the reason that you were posted this topic after Austinpower posted about Insane Canopy are back in stock? Specially when your posted as "Any canopy looks great till it hits the ground. Then when it does you just have an expensive canopy that has lots of cracks in it."

Not sure what your implying but I can tell you this, any canopy weather Arizona, Insane, Canomod or whatever are nice canopies and cost a lot of money.

If there is a crack in them, you simply have an expensive canopy with a crack in it. Really not to much to read into there.

I did speak with Oat about his canopies there was a nice offer made when we spoke 3 months ago, no biggie. Oat's a great guy and his canopies rock, I never said anything less.

To think this post was made because of that post earlier is idiotic.

There are more than enough helicopters to sport canopies on, doesn't matter who's canopies they are since all canopies are pretty much great these days because pilots demand it when paying $200 for a canopy.

I disagree. I have seen the Canomod canopies and they are crappy paint jobs. Typical production line garbage with overspray and missed borders. I would rather have a stock canopy with decals rather than that. I would pay a little more to get the quality I want.

And Mike, your right, when they hit the ground they all crack and split the same. In my opinion, its the inital look and the first few flights that are important to me. I like to feel that I got my moneys worth. BTW, I have a new canopy coming from Oat. Hopefully in the next day or two.

Rhazbun, DUhhh - how many have you seen? So far I've seen about a dozen Canomods - I own 4 myself, and they are all FLAWLESSLY WELL painted canopies, that hold good for a long time. I also own one Insane Canopy which is also awesome, but there is not much difference. They will both die for certain when I crash the way I use to crash

I own many Canomods, almost all of them are great. One has one small blemish but it's not noticible unless pointed out. They are a tremendous value for the money. I will continue to order them for a long time. Can't wait for the Vibe 50's to come out. I wanted an Extreme canopy but they were too busy to do one for me.

Let your flying do the talking - don't talk about your flying

hookmaker,

I can say with certainty that I have seen alot, ( more than a dozen). I own two. And both of them, as with all of the ones that I have seen, show paint that fades under the masking tape when ever the canopy has a sharp curve or indentation. ie. the freya canopy. Use what ever you want that makes you happy. That's what is important.
