| THROTTLEMEISTER baby. Worth every penny! http://www.throttlemeister.com Had one on my last Ninja, have it on this one too! If I needed reminding how important a throttle lock is for a long roadtrip, I 'bout wore my thumb off over the weekend in Tennessee trying to hold the thumb throttle open on my quad for just 4 hours. My girlfriend and I were riding Honda TRX250X sport quads on Windrock Mountain on the Coal Creek Mining Company property. Holding a twist throttle on a roadbike for hours on end would kill me. With the Throttlemeister I can move around, ride no handed, ride left handed, whatever. Helps stay a little fresher. I'm allowing 3 days to ride the 1200 miles out. One day there and three days to come back. I have three days at the end of the trip in case I need them for weather, breakdowns or simply, rest.
I'm trying to get ready for the trip and get what heli flying in as I can before I go. Bill is sending me a spare Tiger tank so I can get some time on the Tiger before I go. Mine was chaffed at the lugs that mesh with the grommets. It was my fault for taking it out without removing the landing gear so I could spread the frames. I have gotten away with it on Panteras but it didnt work out on the Tiger. I had to pull the tank 'cause the clunk fell off. The header tank prevented any engine damage or potential crash. I have been using small nylon ties to hold the clunkline on but this heli was old enough that it didnt have them. It will now!
