Align T-REX 600N 700N > T-REX 700N Reactor X mounting question

I am in the process of wiring my 700 and just wondering how close you can mount the Reactor X to other components (Gyro sensor 611, Gyro control unit, & Governor control unit GV-1). To get everything to fit well I need to mount my Reactor X close to the Gyro sensor. Just want to check with you guys and get any inputs of interaction with other components. Thanks in advance.

It's a linear regulator so shouldn't produce any noise, i.e. it's mounting position isn't critical.

This is how mine is mounted

As you can see it is pretty close to the Spartan DS760 and causes no problems.

Those were the shots before the test flights used for setting up!

All plugs are fully seated and won't fall out!

After 3 gallons they haven't moved, so no need to WATCH OUT

Thanks for the inputs guys, This is my setup, I still have to mount the gyro sensor and get the CCPM servos installed and clean up all the wires. I decided to build another radio tray so I could put all the components were I wanted for ease of access and wire routing. Everything fits great with the canopy on. The tray was build with a 1/8" of carbon fiber plate. i am happy with the results. Now if I could get those other two ball link C that were missing from my kit I can finish the heli, but for time it helped me get all my wiring complete with no hurry. Take care guys and fly safe.

How did you get the wire to reach the Reactor-X from that top mounted cyclic servo???

I had to put the Reactor-X on top because the wire wouldn't reach the bottom of the mount.

I really like that plate you added. Where did you get the CF for it?

Was it left over from a crashed heli frame???

Rockohaulic,

Thanks for the comment on the plate. I get all my material from http://www.mcmaster.com/ Just type in what you want and it will search for you. Great prices and super fast shipping. I ususally use it for fixed wing stuff but did not like the room provided in the TREX 700, so I build the plate. I ended up using some heavy duty foam double sided tape to attach all components and now I am worried that I will never get them off, they are like glued on!!! Could you please post a pic of your set-up.

Datams,

Nice setup!

Take care guys.

Here's my setup. I used to use double sided foam. But I prefer velcro now. Makes it easier to rearrange things, and to remove things.

Not super clean, but the antennae are set up like I want...

Rock,

the wires on the 8717's are pretty long -- no problem reaching the reactor -- went through the holes provided on the front plastic mount by the frames and then through the center of the mount...I have some wires hidden behind the reactor....

Thanks guys

Thanks for the inputs, I got the helicopter finished this morning with all the wires. I can move on to set-up for the tail and throttle until i get the ball links for Assurance, which should be this week.

I kinda like to keep the wires exposed but routed the best I can given the space, Overall I am happy and everything fit well into the canopy. Here are a couple of pictures of the finished product.

I know a little off subject but I recently switched to Futaba from JR and need any advice you guys got for GV-1 & 611 setup with the 12Z. I just want to make sure I am setting everything up correct with the new radio. Take it easy.
