e-E-Sky Honey Bee- Lama- Belt CP- E-Smart > Videos: This evening's HBK2 (w/GuruZ Fiber Frame) flights

My wife offered to record this evening’s flights. It’s been a while since she last recorded my flights and she wanted to record some good video while she is feeling well (she begins her first chemotherapy treatment next week.). I think she did a fantastic job recording my flights this evening.

The winds were at 8 mph gusting to 15 mph. I’ve never been one to let the wind keep me grounded and this evening was no exception. The first flight I was able to fly some high speed circuits and figure 8s. Those blades sound great while being stressed during those fast high-banked turns . The second flight, I tried to mix it up with a little FFF and some gentle slow flight. I had a great time!

Below is my setup. There is still alot of plastic remaining in this HBK2 .

- E-sky 3900 KV Motor w/11T Pinion
- Dynam 30A ESC
- ParkBEC
- Hitec HS-55 Servos on Swashplate
- Hitec HS-50 Tail Servo
- Telebee HH Gyro
- AR6100 Rx
- DX7 Tx
- Mega Power 3S 1350mAh 15C Battery

- GuruZ Fiber Frame
- GuruZ Main Shaft
- Stock Head
- Stock Tail Boom
- Stock Tail
- Stock Skids
- Stock Main Blades
- Stock Flybar and Paddles

Enjoy the videos. I highly recommend watching the high quality videos!

Good stuff. The King can really move when properly motivated. Almost too quick at times.

Best wishes to the missus. Nice camera work.

Pumping your fist and yelling, "COME ON!!!" does not increase battery charge rate.

Smooth like BUTTA racin I like how you just simply point the nose and fly forward-- like a plane almost Your not thinking" Am I nose-in" You just fly thru it

Thanks, guys. That was the most fun I had flying in a while. Obviously, we all enjoy flying our helis, but yesterday was different for some reason. The only thing that could have been better would have been to have sunny skies. Of course, the sun shined the entire day and just like clock work, the clouds started moving in right before we headed to the flying field. I'm not complaining, though. Stick time is stick time, regardless of the weather conditions.

Racin, excellent use of of the wide open space. That thing really does move when you get it in a tight bank.

One question, why do you take off from the pad but land in the grass?

Thanks...I don't really know why I land in the grass. I guess I should land on the pad, as well.

I didn't have to use the washer or the spacer. These are used to keep the main gear from contacting the frame and/or tail boom. Also, keep in mind that you will have to install the pulley inverted from how its installed in the stock HBK2...in other words the retaining pin channel on the pulley will be facing towards the ground.

The main shaft and main gear are installed just as in the stock HBK2. Oh, you probably already know that the stock main shaft doesn't work with the GuruZ frame .
