e-E-Sky Honey Bee- Lama- Belt CP- E-Smart > Tail wag with Telebee GR201 gyro

I wonder if any of you have a Telebee GR201 gyro on your HBK2, or can otherwise help me out.

So I put this gyro on, and it works okay but the tail wags. For most gyros, this means too much gain. So I turn the gain down, it continues to wag, but now it also drifts one way or the other.

I paired this gyro up with the esky digital 8g servo. The stock servos are 8g, but they don't say that they are digital, the tail servo does say its digital. (One of my eccpm servos was damaged and I ordered a replacement. The one I recieved said its digital, so I put that on the back).

So, I can't find any info about this gyro requiring either analog or digital servos, so I think it's okay, but it wags, and if I turn the gain down, it drifts.

Thanks for the input.

I had that symptom with my 2100t. It turned out to be vibrations giving the gyro grief. In a hover, is your tailbox steady, or is shaky?

I built a little rotating platform, kind of like a lazy susan and mounted it in a vice and strapped my hbk2 to the top of it to test and adjust the tail.

It does not seem to vibrate on the platform, but it just wags and/or drifts. I can live with it I suppose. I'll take it up next weekend and see if it still does this in a hover. I suspect it will. Perhaps I'll need to get some decent servos, and maybe even a better gyro.

Sigh.

I have telebee $60 gyro.. I does drift and requires trim to hold.
Sometime the tail will wag, do a few tail whips and goes away.
I have POTS set at about 1 O'Clock

One time it was wagging because blades were not tracked.

It seems to like 70-80F weather. Requires no trim at those temp and hold the best.

I think that if yo uare going to look at the $60 Telebee, you are better off spending the extra $40, getting a 2100T and being done with it. But that is just how I think.

Well, now I know how good the $50 telebee is. Next time, I'll fork out a couple more bucks.

That's the problem with this hobby. for $50 bucks you get get crap load of part for next crash. Don't really need a $100 gyro unless you're doing some crazy stuff.
