i recently tried replacing the servos on the axe cp with some eflite ds75s i had lying around. they fit perfectly, hell the control horns even worked, but what boggles me is the collective travel is backwards it applies neg pitch when the stick is moved up( swash moving up instead of down), EVEN WITH THE SERVOS REVERSED ON THE TX! but the aileron and elevator all functio properly, im still scratching my head here!

the axe servos are reveresed (the factory rotation is deffirent than others), but the e-flite ones are normal
hope that makes sense

not all servos travel in the same direction...reverse it on Tx if possible.

I had something similar happen with my TREX. When I get home to look at the controler I will tell you what it was......

Had a similar problem on a blade CP. I used the reverse switches on the transmitter to get the cyclic right and due to no swash menu in the stock radio, I ended up doing a grip flip to reverse the collective direction. All was well then.

grip flip? you guys know of a good servo to replace them that has the correct rotation?

Here's a good reason for getting quality equipment. If you had something like a Dx6i or better yet a DX7 you would be able to easily change the direction of the servos. Just one example.

Ok. Sorry this is taking so long. I just got back from some training and wont get to get to my radio untill tonight. But, if you only have the "factory" radio I dont think this will help any. It was in some of the mixing settings in mine. So, unless you have an upgraded radio like mentioned above, I guess its a no go. Post on here and let us know what your radio is....that might help.

i do have a dx6i that i use witht he 400 and a few planks, i just dont see the money and effort being worth, converting the axe to run on seperates. i would need another rx, esc and gyro. the axe isnt worth all that trouble so i guess ill just order some more of the el cheapo servos that came with it

Another point

I changed my tail servo and had to rev. its travel...when you do this you may need to rev. the gyro as I did. I learned something that day after 30 mins. of wondering.

I want the red button on my TX like I have with the G3.5 Sim.

I have a programer that will reverse my spektrum servos, dont know if it will work on e-flite or not.your lhs can also reverse them for you.not all servos com in the same rotetion.

what goes up,must come down.

I wonder if you swapped the red and black wire on the servo connector if it would reverse its direction???? anybody ever tried this?

^ interesting point but no...it wont work.

There is a circuit board between Rx and servo motor.

Thus this circuit board has polarity and reversing such will just not work by design.

If the wires went directly to the motor...then yes.

EDIT:

Depending on the servo, this can be proven by just inserting the plug backwards into Rx. (for servos whos signal wire is in the middle) nothing will happen as circuit board will not get proper polarity to turn on.

now on to the thrilling task of binding a new rx and rebuilding the blade 400, from the main gears up!

servos

Is there a chance that you plugged the servos in backwards into the reciever? If you cant reverse them from the radio than that would be my guess

How high does it go? How fast does it go? Huh huh huh huh???!!!!

no the servos would not operate that way, i had to figure out the hard way that not all servos rotate in the same direction, but all is good now, well as good as it can get now that my rappy 50 is airborne again the axe is merely a training heli!
