I had some interesting experiences yesterday. I'm running an Evo 50, MP2, 9253s, 401 combo, nhp carban mains, nhp tails, stock paddles with wieghts out, maneuverability mode on head.

My heli is pitching down somewhat in fast forward flight, any ideas.

Also i had near destructive flutter even though everything seemed balanced. I had just replaced the main shaft, aluminum hub, and feathering shaft and ensured balance of the head after i had light vibration before. AFter i changed all this stuff and balanced, it was exaclty the same. I came to find out after my near destructive flutter that one of the bushings had come out of my slider (the thing the antirotation pins slide into and that slideds on the main shaft with collective movements) This seemed to induce slop into the paddles and mainblades and the slop would get progressivley worse with time (i'm talking seconds from a light vibration until it looked like it was going to shake itself to pieces) It makes sense cause this would usually happen when i would go to reduced collective, like fast descending. The bushing woudl come out of the top of the slider and there woudl be slop. upon using positive collective, the bushing woudl get pushed back in and the vibration/light flutter would go away. I just thought i would post this if anyone had a similar problem and couldn't find the solution.

also, what should i check on teh machine after heavy flutter. i know the feathering shaft is fubar, but what else should i check?

If it's a HPM version, check the gears in your collective servo. I found this to be the cause of zero-pitch flutter last season. The heli would go out of track at zero pitch, but would be in track when hovering upright or inverted.

Also if you're running standard dampers, you might want to try a new set and make sure they're greased.

And pitch down in fast forward can come from not having the paddles in perfect alignment (should be zero degrees and exactly the same on bopth sides).
I hade pitch down at FFF and it was the paddles alignment pitch that did it. Not much wrong, but after readjustment if flew perfect. Didnt change anything else.
