| Thanks for the replies. What I've got is a new EXI450 (TREX wannabe) that did not come with electronics. I switched my ESKY Belt motor over to the EXI to try but the esc went up in flames on the bench before I could fly it, must have been from the previous crash. So I deciced it was time to start switching it over to a TREX and ordered the Align motor and esc but the store was out of the pinion gears. So I've got the pinion ordered (11 13 15 set).I was thinking the gear was forced on like the BELT motor. Apparently the gear slides on the shaft (without pressure) and tightens down with a set screw. I was just concerned about putting pressure on the shaft, to force it on, and damaging the motor. Good idea to grind a flat spot on the shaft, I think, like we use to do with car gears. BTW, is the 13 tooth pinion the one most guys are using on the 430L 3550 kv motor? I'm running 325mm blades
