Picked up a DX7 this week a gift to myself for all the crazy hours i've been putting in. Never messed with anything like this before so i'm enjoying the challenge. Since i'm still hovering around trying to learn my orientations I am only setting it up in normal mode.
My first of many questions is will the esky servos work with the tx?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Kevin

The receiver is an AR6100e. From looking around I hope this cool also.

well then double check the channels on the rx and plug in the corresponding servos in the right slot.I can help with the general stuff like expo and curves ect but specific stuff like channel order of the rx,might be beter if someone with the DX7 chimes in

Looks like they plug in alright. Gonna switch receivers shortly but will take notes on servo movement first so i'll know if i need to reverse a setting.

does anyone know of any videos for the setup of the dx7. I think I have all sevos plugged in correctly, but I am not getting movement out of some of the servos. An example would be when I throttle up only the front sevo is moving. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

My kid reminded me ,you have to go into system mode, thats where you selsct swash type 3 servo's 120 ..That will fix your problem of only 1 servo moving..

You won't regret having the DX7.

shows some good approaches to getting the servos working together in the right direction using any programmable TX.

Step 1: Set swash type to 120* CCPM
Step 2: Set servos to normal and reverse so that they all move the same direction when you make throttle adjustments.
Step 3: Using the swash menu, set the elevation setting so that when you move the right stick up and down, the swash moves forward and back correctly. Change each to +50% or -50% as needed.
Step 4: Repeat #3 for aileron.
Step 5: Repeat #3 for pitch and also use this number to set the total pitch range. Higher = more pitch.
Step 6: Set normal throttle curve to 0-25-50-75-100 and pitch curve to 40-45-50-75-100 (or -2,0,10 degrees pitch at low, mid and full throttle).

The rest of the stuff is personal taste. If you need to speed up or slow down things, raise and lower the swash setting for ele and ail. You can also add expo or dual rates but I would start with the swash settings. Then just set the timer, strap the TG on the heli and go out and fly. Adjust as needed.

Hey guys trying to set up the swash with the dx7. I go to the servo reversing menu and get all the servos moving the right direction. All up etc. when i go to the swash mix to get the AIL,ELE,PIT adjusted I get the servos moving correctly. Right stick left (swash tilts left) When I go to give throttle everything is backwards. Cant put my finger on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Thanks fender thats what it was. I was changing the wrong one. Just got in from testing and i'm getting no throttle response. I have the throttle curve set at 0 25 50 75 100 and the motor is not turning. Thought I might have it but on to the next challenge.

MMIKE i tried to find the finless vids but haven't been able to locate them. Everything so far is an educated guess. It all lokks to be good with -2 at low stick, 0 at mid, and + 9 at high. No binding that I see or hear and no servos buzzing. I'll keep lookin.

is the esc arming??if not you may have to reverse the throttle channel, check that its plugged in correct if it is,either take the main blades off or disengage the motor and try the throttle thing
