I am considering going with the spartan ds 760 gyro. Does it come with a tail servo? And if not, what it the best tail servo to go with for a trex 500 when using the spartan gyro. I currently have 3 JR z3650 mini digital servos for the rest of the application.

I had bought a logictech LTG 6100T, but I think it might be overkill for the trex 500.

It does not come with a servo. The nice thing is that it will run just about any digital servo (they list all compatible servos in the instructions). I am using the 9257 which requires a step-down regulator since I am running on 6V. In my case, I am very happy with the gyro and found it to be a huge improvement over the 401 with respect to stopping.

I mounted mine upside down under the boom to protect it (pics in my gallery). If you do this, be very careful when you do the setup as you have to "lie" to the gyro and tell it to sense in the opposite direction.
