was watching someone fly a trex 600n and wow what power this thing had. This heli shot out from nowhere and is fast. Now i have a raptor 30 and would like somewhat the same punch and power the align heli has. I am using the tt36 engine and was wondering why my lacking in snap and power was caused because of a 30 size engine??? Is changing to a os 37 going to wake this bird up???? or just give up and get a 50 size machine???? Just asking, keep getting in trouble because i can't keep constant head speed

While a few might disagree, a R30 is still a R30(no, I am not starting a raptor vs t-rex debate, but more of comparing 30 vs 50) , wheather you have a powerful or weak 30size engine. The 50size has so much more power and pop because of the larger engine and blades, not to mention that you can run the 50size at headspeed over 2000rpm without reving the engine to death. While its just 5cm extra, the 600mm blades really do make an amazing difference.

A 37 with an SAB6RS Hatori is the best you can do in a 30 and the way to go if you don't want to convert the boom, blades, and gearing to a 50

A 50 still has more power

With the Raptor you can do a short boom or a long boom conversion....
I run a TT.50 with a short boom conversion ...It doesn't make the power that a Hyper makes so I run 550 blades and 30 size boom with 8.5 to 1 one gear ratio......it flys great and will do 3D flight with ease. I also have a Hyper 50 in a Raptor with a long boom conversion running 600mm blades Titan 50 boom and 8.7 to 1 gear ratio and will do 3D all day.

AMA #890376..... Flying Helis is like sex ...you dont have to be good at it to enjoy it....
