e-Align T-REX 250-450-500-600 > T-REX 500 trex 500 slow cyclic.... how to speed up?

Something that might also affect results between different people is the battery your running. I am currently using twin 3S 2100 Evo-lite packs, stock power system on 14T and with 9.5° cyclic each way it is almost as fast as my R90 with 8° cyclic. Which I would say would be more than enough for most. But I have seen much faster out a 500.

Last weekend I tried a friends Outrage XP 6S 2500 30C pack. Holy crap what a difference, higher head speed, more power and a much much faster response and roll rate. No doubt due to the added head speed.

Just trying to point out that one 6S pack is not the same as another.

And personally I think with 9.5° of cyclic the T500 is dog slow.

Have you programmed the ESC to remove govener mode and tried running the servo's at 6v? also made a big difference with mine. I had to put a little expo in mine to slow it down around center in the end

I did the grip flip and saw no difference.

I can see faster servos making the cyclic control move faster but not make the heli flip faster. Now if the servos were so slow that your collective input was not fast enough to hold a stationary flip stationary then yes.

Still everyone is giving advice on how to make his heli flip like theirs but he is yet to see theirs flip which is why I say cyclic speed is going to be alot of opinion. He might see video of someone who calls theirs blinding fast and see that his flips just as fast.

Just max out the swash. Right before binding. And put on the Colored paddles.(which are lighter). Also Take all your ATV's to 150 and tune down your swash, but still max it out before binding, the Extra resolution will make the heli feel batter. Also what blades are you running? I found that the V-blades are the fastest, but i dont like the boggy feel. The also dont do big manuever very well as they are slower blades. The white Align are quick but not as fast as the V-blades, and i Love the feel of the White Aligns. The Radix are gracefull, but not as fast as the White aligns They stop great, but dont change direction as nice as i would like them to. And and Rotor tech aligns are the the slowest IRRC.

i have the hitec 5245 servos, sab blades, colored paddles, stock esc but dont know what its set on, scorpion 1600 13t pinion soon to be 14t. i can try upping the atv and using swash values to keep from over binding? then do i use any expo? im assuming my headspeed isnt fast enough but its scary to bump it up without a tach.

The cyclics are more than fast enough even on 13T, just max out the cyclic as mentioned and I personally dont screw the paddles all the way on I have them very near the end but obviously I make sure the grub screw is tight, this gives the same affect as putting a longer flybar on. I also use adjustable length servo arms set at 17.5mm to give more speed and throw.

I think I may try the same thing myself. Just not happy with the speed of my servos. Not to mention that I have to run my cyclic ccpm at 100%.
