Align T-REX 600N 700N > T-REX 700N Throttle Setup for YS-91

OK, set up my throttle last night, and have some questions.

I was able to set it up with 99% travel in the full throttle position, and about 110% in the idle position.

Problem is the mid position. There are 2 small markers on the YS-91 for around mid throttle. At mid stick, I am quite a bit past these markers toward full throttle. Yet with my throttle curve set to 0-50-100 (linear), it just hits full throttle with full stick as it should.

(Put another way, I am at about 39% input on my 9303 radio when the throttle is at these marks.)

What is going on?

With my 50, I was able to get mid stick at the 2nd mark on the OS50, which I understand is the mid-point for throttle. And I was able to get close to 100% on both sides.

If I set up this YS-91 at one of the markers for mid stick, I am going to have to have some ugly numbers for travel adjust to get 100% throttle.

How are you guys setting up the throttle on the YS-91???

just set it for the endpoints

did this and there has been no problems. i had to go a pretty long arm on the servo to keep from interfering at full throttle. fwiw

You really want to play around with it some more until you get the carb exactly half way open when the left stick is exactly in the center, and the throttle curve is at 50%. You can do it, Adjust the linkage rod, and move the throttle arm until you get closer to 100% on either side. I have all my heli's set up within 2 or 3 % of 100% on either end of the travel.

hans,

Basically that is how it's set up right now - for the endpoints.

Can you check yours at mid stick and tell us where the throttle is with respect to these lines at mid stick???

Thanks!

Rockohaulic,

I got mine with the control setting from the manual to be exact on mid stick. Make sure your throttle arm and servo arm is second to last and you should be fine.

I didn't have to adjust to much....

Hmmmm,

The ball on my servo arm is second to last, but the ball on my throtle arm is in the last position.

I measured it, and these were the same distance.

So you basically have it set up with more throw from the servo arm, correct??

Correction, see photo. Servo horn second to last slot and throttle horn last slot. This should give you correct movement.

Here is an excellent thread with pictures showing a great method to achieve exact results.
