Ive found even after fitting the stainless balls they still get loose especially the tail rods (may be I fly to much)

Any way if you use your old links with thunder tiger raptor 90 stainless balls the fit is much better , feels like JR links no play but still smooth and you know there not going to fall off.

You need to use the screws /bolts from your raptor or 450 as they have holes in them.

I also hate changing the links as you have to re-measure the rods.

I am sure he is POSITIVE it is the balls. After about 100 flights most (if not all) of the balls will look like an egg...

Here's one I changed out on mine. The metal wears faster than the plastic link end but IMO they should be changed out as a set, both the ball and the link end. I agree about the raptor balls, they last a lot longer.

thanks for replies >

if you fitted a new link with a raptor ball it would be too tight

worn link and raptor balls are a nice combo

Can you use the Raptor links? Are they threaded for a different size rod?

Ball link sizer, problem solved. I've used old links and they wear the balls a lot faster than new links. I guess they get dirt embedded in the plastic.

Good point

But its going from a quick fix then into a major operation.

My point being was that alot of guys have /had Raptors also and probably still have these in there spares boxes.

If you just change the ball theres no setting up or trimming to be done , if your like me when its flying perfect you dont want to mess with it , but its nice to get rid of the slop !!!!
