Dealer prices are a little less than they list for there, but they are awfully close, not way off like the kit prices they have on their site. Parts are definitely more expensive, but the quality and the way the heli flies more than justifies it.
For the head, there's the Tempest 3d, Tempest FAI, and Extreme. The Extreme is the standard and $100 less than the Tempest. The Extreme is the fastest and most aggressive, it has plastic grips. The Tempest 3d has more setup options and can be very fast, as well as stable, and is all metal, and the FAI is geared more towards FAI type flight and is even more stable. I bought the Tempest 3d, it's plenty fast for 3d, and flies great.
