As far as main blades for sport flying, how are these carbon blades? :

Those are NOT CARBON FIBER

They are plastic with a carbon rod down the middle.

they are only good for stirring paint.

Stay away!!!!

lol I'm fully aware they aren't CF, I guess they're not even good for sport flying huh.

I was planning on painting the house soon though.

In that price range, the Align pro wood blades fly very well and can do 3D nearly as well as good carbons (not quite as efficient though), so I'd recommend them.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

Those plastic blades will go out of track if you crank them up to a suitable 450 headspeed.

I've flown the plastic fiber and "Carbon" align blades and they will sport fly and do aerobatics fine, but they are flexible and can cause tracking problems in some situations. If I were buying blades, I'd give them a pass and as I said, go with the Pro Woodies.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

I second the pro-woody recommendation. They fly as nice as some lower end carbon fiber blades do.

They weigh like 3x as much as woodies. They are only good for scale, and are harsh on collective if you want to do 3D with them. You would be better off trying to fly with a spoon then thoes.

I may be 14... but Im faster with my reflexes!

Well, I picked up some of the pro-woodies as reccomended. I flew them and they fly very well for basic manuvers. My only concern is that they are reallllllyyyyyy light, i feel like they may just shatter if I give it too much cyclic or something.

They won't shatter or separate unless you overspeed them or damage them in a crash or other mis-handling.

Manufacturer says, what, 2800rpm max? Several or many have posted here about running 3000rpm no problem, so most setups will be fine except the most aggressive motor/pinion combinations.

They are light, but wood is an excellent composite material.

pro woodies fly great but i had a set let go throught the blade root heli actually exploded i run cosmetically flawed radix at 29 a set well worth it or unbranded hyperions from helidirect are good too at 24 a set

i was at 2790 rpm

Rats- sorry about your bad experience there, yes there are exceptions but I think they are rare. I've seen wood blades take a lot of abuse and come back for more.

If in doubt run good carbon fiber blades. I like those "cosmetically flawed" Radix blades too.

Never, ever, ever, ever give up.

I personally ran pro-woodies at 3100 for over a year and dozens upon dozens of moderate 3D flights with no problems.

I stopped flying them for a while because I had Align Carbon Fiber blades. I broke those and am now back to Pro-woodies.

They are really nice blades for what you pay.
