| Well if you want to DIY an alternator, take a look at my article on it. It is rather dated, but still valid information. I run a residtance type regulator, as the Duralite types were melting down. Perhaps other BEC's could withstand use in this environment, I dont know, but the LM338 type resistance reg is very robust for me.
